Aikido Kenkyukai Sydney | Children & Adults

Aikido Kenkyukai Sydney City for Children & Adults is a Sydney Aikido club established by Berin Mackenzie and inspired by the teachings of Takeda Yoshinobu Shihan (8th dan, Aikikai).

We belong to a growing network of Aikido dojos throughout Japan, Australia, NZ, Canada, USA, Chile & Uruguay, known as AKI or Aikido Kenkyukai International (Aikido Research Group).

Our Aikido classes for kids and adults in inner-city Sydney are high energy and great fun with emphasis on sensitivity, softness, connection with our partners, and freedom in movement.

We value a joyful, exploratory and creative approach to Aikido study, rather than simple fixation on martial or self-defense techniques.

All students are treated equally and their individual abilities and goals respected. No experience is necessary and youre welcome to start at any time!
