Amigos Mexican Restaurant

Amigos Mexican Restaurant was opened in 1973 and is Australias oldest Mexican restaurant. The building itself was erected in the Victorian era and upstairs was the scene of an infamous Wollongong murder many years ago.

Amigos is the perfect place for anyone wanting a little Mexican atmosphere. Catering for different diets such as gluten-free, vegans and vegetarians, the restaurant offers sit-down meals, takeaways and function hosting in the garden or dining rooms.

On offer is a variety of traditional Mexican foods such as salsa dips, Mexican pizzas, Nachos, Fajitas and many more. The menu also includes larger mains plates such as Chicken Diego, char-grilled chicken marinated in tequila, lime and salt served with tomatillo and avocado salsa, melted cheese, rice and salad.

Be sure to tell the staff if you require mild chilli levels as with most Mexican food, chilli is a vital ingredient. The restaurant is fully licensed and accepts BYO. Kitchen closes at 9:30pm.
