Live Green is back for its second year at Victoria Park on 17th August 2008.
An even bigger and better event has been planned this year, giving Sydneysiders simple tips on how to green their lives.
"The first ever City of Sydney Live Green was a huge success last year, attracting more than 10,000 visitors to Victoria Park,"said Lord Mayor Clover Moore MP.
"City of Sydney is very proud of Live Green. We are creating a truly landmark event while helping people to become more environmentally aware, encouraging them to make simple changes that, collectively, can make a big difference to the future of our planet."
Live Green 2008 will feature new programs, information and demonstrations including:
A Kitchen Marquee highlighting locally grown and organic foods as well as a panel discussion on sustainable seafood and cooking sessions from renowned chef Kylie Kwong and other leading Sydney chefs
An organic wine bar serving a selection of New South Wales best, and most sustainable red and white wines and organic beer.
Panel discussions on subjects such as green marketing, climate change investment and green career options, with leading authorities in the field debating the issues and taking questions from the audience.
The Watershed Workshops, teaching people how to set up a simple worm farm or use homemade low impact cleaning products.
A Childrens Marquee and Stage, with performances throughout the day, eco art activities and workshops.
Valet bike parking thanks to Bicycle NSW and free bike safety checks by bikerepairs.com.au
