Belvoir St Theatre in Surry Hills, Sydney, is the home of Company B, one of Australias most respected theatre companies.
Company B is one of Australias most respected and celebrated theatre companies. Under Artistic Director Neil Armfield and General Manager Vicki Middleton, the company performs at its home, the historic Belvoir St Theatre located in Surry Hills, Sydney where it stages a 12 month season of work.
The company also tours to major arts centres and festivals both nationally and internationally. Company B works with Australias most prominent and promising directors, actors and designers, to present an annual artistic program that is razor-sharp, popular and stimulating.
During the past years, artists including Geoffrey Rush, Cate Blanchett, Max Gillies, John Gaden, Kris McQuade, Richard Roxburgh, Max Cullen, Bille Brown, David Wenham, Deborah Mailman, Helen Morse and Catherine McClements have all performed with Company B.
Sell out productions like Cloudstreet, The Judas Kiss, The Alchemist, Hamlet, The Small Poppies, Waiting for Godot, The Underpants, Gulpilil, The Sapphires, Stuff Happens, Keating! and Exit the King have consolidated Company Bs position as one of Australias most innovative and acclaimed theatre companies.
Belvoir St Theatre Limited is the owner of Belvoir St Theatre which finished undergoing a major renovation in 2006. From July 2005 until October 2006, Company B and B Sharp productions were performed at the Seymour Centre in Chippendale.
