Epilepsy Action Australia has joined forces with Epilepsy Action UK who provide an online community for people with epilepsy.
forum4e is for anyone with epilepsy over the age of 16 can join, from anywhere in the world with over 3,000 members internationally.
Its a safe and secure community, which means that only people with epilepsy, or carers of people with epilepsy who cant use a computer themselves, are allowed to join.
forum4e enables you to discuss anything and everything with other people who have epilepsy. It has a forum with areas to discuss subjects such as medication, seizures and so on, and share experiences and anecdotes.
There's also a chat room, a private messaging system, and each member gets their own blog - an online diary that the other members can read.
134,000 Australians experience the unpredictable and often debilitating effect of epilepsy. More still have seizures provoked by triggers like sudden high fever or concussion.
Meeting their needs is the principle aim of national not-for-profit organisation Epilepsy Action.
Epilepsy Action provides education and support services to children and adults with epilepsy or other seizure disorders across Australia.
