Goulburn Brewery
The oldest surviving brewery and industrial complex in Australia, restored to original functions reproducing the original ales and stouts made there by traditional processes since 1836.
Monthly craft markets are held at the Brewery 10am - 2pm on the 4th Saturday of each month (except December when they are usually held on the weekend before Christmas).
The brewery complex is made up of the steam flour mill, maltings, tobacco curing kiln, cooperage, mews, stables and workers cottages designed by Francis Greenway.
The Old Goulburn Brewery Hotel is open daily, serving fine ales and good food. The tea rooms serve light lunches and Devonshire teas, and the restaurant has lunch and dinner daily with theatre restaurant seasonally. Full catering and bar service available for functions, weddings, parties, etc.
Informative and entertaining Conducted Tours are held on Sundays at 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., and at other times by appointment. A small charge applies.
There are cosy 2 room suites in the restored Brewers Cottages, each with private facilities. All the country cottage charm of the 1830s, with roaring log fires, and even earth and brick floors and limewashed walls in the Mews! There is room for your horse in the Stables too!
