Hammond Institute (formerly the College of Holistic Counselling) offers a range of accredited courses designed to meet the requirements of the Psychotherapists and Counsellors Federation of Australia (PACFA).
Graduates of our counselling course are eligible for membership in CAPA and will meet the requirements for PACFA register. The Hammond Institute is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) under the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF).
We believe that the counselling experience must be one of trust, openness and risk. Also the willingness to explore oneself with someone you feel is safe, has the capacity to empathise and above all, is authentic.
The training experience of a counsellor must be the same. It is here, we believe, that true counselling happens - when counsellors themselves face the issues and possibilities of their own lives. It is from this unique perspective that we train counsellors.
