About HOBAN
Lynne Hoban set up her business in 1965, and was one of the first agencies in Melbourne to specialise in temporary staff recruitment.
Lynne was well known for the high level of care she provided her job seekers, sometimes even employing a chauffeur to drive her temporaries to assignments where normal transport was difficult or non-existent! She also regularly sent her temps flowers and greeting cards, and paid them to be on stand-by.
So not surprisingly, Lynne soon acquired an unparalleled reputation for having the best temps, with an impressive client base.
Lynne sold the business around 20 years ago. Sadly, Lynne has since passed away, but the business carrying her name lives on and grows from strength to strength.
In the late 1980s, the office moved to a smart shop front in Toorak Road, South Yarra, where it became the first shop front personnel agency in Melbourne. Vacancies were placed in the front window, and there was neon signage, attracting a lot of attention from applicants, clients and the general public.
With continued growth, HOBAN moved into the CBD at 303 Collins St. We have since expanded to include branches in Laverton, Dandenong South and North Sydney and provide recruitment services across Australia through our networks interstate.
HOBAN Recruitment - continues to have a first class reputation for providing quality service across a number of industry sectors.
Importantly, we still retain the original founding principles that Lynne began her business with, based on quality and customer service, as well as a number of temporary staff and clients, who have been with us for several years.
