Located right in the heart of Wollongong, Illawarra Performing Arts Centre (IPAC) is Wollongongs premier performance venue and home to Merrigong Theatre Co.
Merrigong Theatre Co
Merrigong Theatre Co is the venue manager of IPAC and a vibrant regional theatre company in its own right. Its mission is to produce and present a selection of Australias finest performances for people in the Illawarra region.
The name Merrigong, found in early accounts of European exploration of the Illawarra, is thought to be a derivation of the indigenous word for the regions distinctive escarpment.
