Lord Mayor condolences to China

The Lord Mayor of Sydney, Clover Moore MP, is currently in Guangzhou, China attending the Joint Economic Meeting with the NSW Premier, Morris Iemma.

Lord Mayor Moore said:

"On behalf of the people of Sydney, I offer our sincere condolences and our support for the disaster relief effort.

"The people of Sydney have strong friendship ties with China, and at this time of tragedy and mourning, we wish to offer our support and demonstrate the strength of our relationship.

"Our relationship with our Chinese neighbours has never been more important and we extend the hands of friendship at this devastating time."
