The Sydney Mechanics School of Arts is a vibrant community of people making a vital contribution to the social, artistic & cultural life of Sydney since 1833.

We are a recreational educational organisation and operate a members Library with over 32000 books, plus magazines and newspapers.

We run regular members activities (tours, reading groups, recreational groups) as well as free public events We also have affordable venue hire, with special rates for community and not-for-profit groups.
