Sydneys Fashion Week has attracted international attention, with buyers flying into NSWs state capital from all over the world.
Last years Fashion Week saw Indonesion buyers sign 57 deals, and this year is expected to see more.
Australian designers such as Sass and Bide, Willow and Kirrily Johnston already have a big presence in Indonesia, and Claret Showroom, the UK and European fashion buyer, says it wants to sign two more Australian labels to join White Suede, Alice McCall, Melanie Cutfield, and Milk and Honey.
Austrade, the federal governments trade agency, is believed to have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars attracting more than 100 top international buyers to the event, the fashion industry bringing in about $240 million each year in exports.
