You choose which of the days you wish to use - if you want a rest day, no worries.

Sydney Ferries services, including Manly Jetcats and Parramatta RiverCats
CityRail trains within the Red TravelPass zone

return transfers on Airport Link trains
Travelling on AirportLink will not activate the entire SydneyPass ticket, just the Airport transfer component of the ticket. The 3, 5 or 7 days will not start until the ticket is used on another service. The AirportLink return transfer is valid for 2 months from the date the SydneyPass is activated.
Additional use of AirportLink station, outside of the return trip will require you to pay a station access fee.
