Great Aussie Pie Competition 2024 |
The Official Great Aussie Pie Competition runs every year in September at "Fine Food Australia".
The Official Great Aussie Meat Pie Competition was established in 1989 to raise quality standards of pies across Australia; enhancing a sense of pride among bakers who specialise in pie making and now includes vegetarian and non-red meat ingredients.
Last week the best pies in the country were awarded at The Great Aussie Pie competition. Over 1500 pies were judged in Melbourne over four days.
The pies are judged by 16 of Australia's "most dedicated pie connoisseurs" for shape size colour filling flavour texture pastry creativity and uniformity.
The 35th edition of the original Official Great Aussie Pie & Sausage Roll Competition has awarded the following prizes.
