PACT: Performance Art Theatre

PACT centre for emerging artists supports produces and presents the work of emerging artists.

Our program has diverse opportunities for artists to access support.

The artistic program offers support for creative development of new works through The Space Program and Vacant Room; the presentation of tour ready works through PACT Presents.. with limited year round opportunities as well as PACT in partnership with The Sydney Fringe; emerging curators through The Erskineville Performance Arts Festival (currently aka Tiny Stadiums Festival); production of new work through the commissions and the Ensemble; training in voice and movement through the Ensemble and ad hoc masterclasses.

We form creative partnerships with local and national organisations such as Next Wave Festival, Splendid Arts Lab and National Association of Visual Arts to support artists create work for national projects.

We also initiate projects outside the programs above responding to the needs of the sector and our associated artists.

VISION

PACT feeds the ecology of artistic practice in Australia by providing a centre for emerging artists to create, produce and present inter-disciplinary and experimental contemporary performance; form professional networks and exchange skills.

MISSION

To support and produce for emerging artists who create performing arts works that push past the boundaries of traditional, mainstream and single artform practices. To provide unique and strategic opportunities for critical dialogue, skills development, creative development, production, presentation and programming of new work by emerging artists.
