This licensed centre provides quality child care on an occasional basis for children 6 weeks to 6 years of age.
Staffed by experienced and qualified child care workers, the Redfern Occasional Child Care Centre provides occasional care to enable parents to shop, attend appointments or take a break from parenting.
Redfern Occasional Child Care has a flexible license which caters for the care and education of up to 36 children per day, with three different playrooms where children are age grouped.
The service gives priority to disadvantaged families in the City of Sydney area who are:
identified as low income, for example entitled to a Health Care Card
single parent families
non working families
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders
families at risk
from non-English speaking backgrounds
finding it difficult to access mainstream child care.
Bookings
Bookings for occasional child care can be made in advance. Regular bookings may also be available. If you book a place at the service and do not show up without cancelling in advance, even if your child is sick, you must pay for the session.
The centre is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm, though closed on weekends, public holidays and for a short period over the Christmas/New Year break.
