1.FLEXIBILITY - this is a key ingredient of our product. We have Mix & Match options so clients can create their own China holiday. We have independent tours for those wanting to travel by themselves; we customise trips for those wanting specific experiences or with specific interests. If a client wants to add a Yangtze cruise, or to visit Tibet or the Silk Road, we can organise it for them. Our product can be designed to meet the particular needs of our customers and to provide them the best experience possible.
2.HASSLE FREE TRAVEL - We want you to enjoy every moment of your trip to China; not to be worried about anything. So, from the time you leave to the time you return everything is organised well in advance for you - flights, accommodation and tour guides to meet and look after you at each of your destinations. Everything is pre-paid before you leave. It is a smooth, hassle free experience which means you can enjoy your China holiday free of worry or concern. Our guides are there to not only guide you but also to help you and assist you whenever the need arises. Our drivers are specially chosen, as are our hotels and our vehicles. It is all designed to maximise the experience; to make it hassle free.
3.EXPERIENCES - we design each of our trips to highlight the absolute best of China. All the highlights of every region you visit are always included but we also encourage our groups to interact as much as possible with the locals - to experience China through their eyes and gain insights and an understanding of local culture and life. This could include cycling into the countryside and stopping off at local villages along the way, shopping in colourful bazaars and markets, taking traditional Tai Chi exercises in the early morning, visiting local families in the back streets of Beijing and making delicious home-made dumplings - and so much more. In every turn there is a new experience - but this is China, one of the worlds most ancient, and culturally rich, countries.
4.CULTURAL SENSITIVITY - respect for the Chinese culture is paramount in all our operations. It is an ancient culture and one that we want to preserve and not exploit. By having an operating office in China we employ only the most experienced guides who are very respectful of the local communities. We aim to melt in with the local lifestyle and culture rather than disturb it in any way. Our customers are always advised to show respect and sensitivity to the people and places they visit. And, by meeting local families, and having so many local experiences, they gain an understanding of the lives of these people.
5.QUALITY - quality underpins all our operations; the standard of guides, hotels, transport, the many special highlights and one off experiences we include in our tours. Our entire product is hand-picked to provide the best possible quality available. We are constantly reviewing our product to make it the best we possibly can. All our clients are asked to fill-in a Quality Evaluation Form at the end of each trip for their comments on our tour guides, drivers, itineraries, accommodation and transport and any other areas where they may see a need for improvement. These comments are taken seriously and incorporated wherever possible to improve our product to the customer.
6.SAFETY - this is vital to our operations. Selective Tours is a partner in the Charter for Safe Travel as outlined by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DEFAT). Through this charter we encourage our customers to take out proper travel insurance and inform them on the necessary preparations needed when travelling to China. Our local guides are well prepared to meet emergencies, medical or otherwise, that may crop up, as is our operating office in China. We also use only the best, top quality, operators in China. Our client safety is premium.
7.INNOVATION - finally, we are innovators when it comes to travel in China. China is a vast country with a diversity of regions, cultures and magnificent landscapes.
