Blancmange is situated on the corner of West & Station Streets overlooking picturesque Petersham Park.
Having taken the reigns from the restaurants opening team of Gail Sellin & Caroline Read, chef Nigel Douglas has worked at leading restaurants in the UK as well as several of Sydneys finest restaurants.
Nigels menus are a seasonally driven mix of contemporary French & European dishes, with a splash of Anglo influences for good measure. Nigels food is best described as understated and grounded, drawing on old school dishes and classic combinations.
Dishes are prepared daily for that evenings service, in this way whatever is in season and at its best finds its way to the table more quickly.
The menu is also constantly changing and evolving - the kitchen aim to change one or two dishes each week so that in 6-8 weeks time returning diners will be presented with an entirely new menu.
