CIVIC SALOON on the ground floor is the largest space of the Hotel. Maintaining its original heritage tiling and lined with dramatic red drapes, the SALOON is a real deco classic.
It hosts an eclectic mix of local and international DJs every weekend with a range of live musical elements often thrown in the mix.
CIVIC DINING, where Peter Conistis, Master Chef of Greek Mediterranean cuisine ex Elenis & Omega restaurants and former winner of restaurant of the year 2004, is cooking up a storm.

THE CIVIC UNDERGROUND, formerly the Civic Theatre, is still the unique live venue with state of the art sound and lighting, recording and broadcasting facilities that you have come to love.
The space mimics a mini theatre or original cabaret venue, and is arguably Sydneys best intimate club. The theatre has a strong focus on corporate events as well as a keen interest in building a reputation as Sydneys premiere showcase venue.
It also plays host to showcasing a diverse range of live entertainment such as The Avalanches, Deni Hines, Paul Capsis, The Jungle Brothers, The Church and Inxs.
The TERRACE, described as an "Urban Rooftop Atrium"is a semi-outdoor haven. Now covered from the elements by the neighbouring Ibis Hotel, the space is comfortable year round.
The original 1940s light box is a feature of the space, used perfectly as a catwalk for fashion parades, a banquet table for large dining functions, or a creative backdrop for any occasion.
The Terrace is also avaialble for private cocktail parties for anywhere up to 120 people. Please send an inquiry through our functions manager. The mode on the Terrace for any given night is one of Cool Blue Note Jazz through to sophisticated lounging. The perfect place, winter or summer, to relax sipping a favourite cocktail in this surreal space.
Adjoining the Terrace is the inviting and comfortable COCKTAIL BAR with an extensive cocktail menu. Sharing the floor with DECO, the Cocktail bar is the perfect space to lounge before and after dinner or for a more relaxed night, you can enjoy a tempting morsel from our Bar Menu.
