Defiance Sculpture Park

Launched in September 2012, the Defiance Sculpture Park is located at The Gate Gallery in Wollombi Valley.

Wollombi is a beautiful and historic country town only 1.45 hours north of Sydney en route to the Hunter Valley.

Established by The Gate Gallery, Wollombi and Defiance Gallery, Sydney, Defiance Sculpture Park is a permanent sculpture park of national significance, with forty outdoor works by prominent and emerging Australian sculptors on display throughout the beautiful gardens of The Gate Gallery.

Defiance will also curate four indoor exhibitions annually at The Gate Gallery. These shows will feature smaller works by the exhibiting sculptors alongside a selection of paintings by leading Sydney artists.

A partnership with Noyce Brothers Wines, a leading winemaker in the Wollombi Valley with a cellar door in the centre of town, also means visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy wine tastings at The Gate Gallery during Gallery opening hours. All exhibition openings at The Gate Gallery and Defiance Gallery will be sponsored by Noyce Brothers Wines.
