JobServe were the worlds first Internet Recruitment Service.
Before JobServe was formed in 1993 it was much more difficult to find and apply for a suitable job than it is today. As time has moved on and with it the need to change jobs more frequently we have certainly made the task of finding a better job a lot simpler.
Of course its then down to you to get the job and there's no denying that thats the hard part, but the more suitable the roles you apply for, the more chance you have.
To get the best jobs in front of you we will:
Work Harder
JobServe works harder than anyone else to source the best jobs. Last year we advertised over 2.5 million jobs across 15 industry sectors and the numbers are growing fast. In fact, this year we have introduced two more, namely Retail and Rec2Rec, bringing to 17 the number of industries we now advertise in.
Be Smarter
We use the best techniques to match the most suitable of those jobs to you. Our staff will painstakingly classify the skills and locations of every job we advertise to guarantee best matching.
Provide More Choice
Jobs can be searched for on our web site or delivered to you in a number of ways including email, SMS text messaging, an RSS feed or you can even telephone one of our computers who will use Voice to Text technology to read out the details of a specific job.
Keep it Simple
We then have the simplest of methods of applying for a position. All of our jobs can be applied for online with the advertisers own specified application form and our site remembers your application answers and will pre-fill future applications that ask for the same information.
Offer a Complete Service
And finally we complete the service by providing an excellent tool that allows you to track each of your job applications from the initial application to the point where you find and accept the role of your choice.
Recruiter Services (If youre looking for staff)
For the recruiter JobServe is much more than just a supplier, its a business partner. We understand that for JobServe to thrive we need our recruiters to thrive. The more successful we make you, the more successful we become ourselves.
JobServe led the way for Internet recruitment by delivering the worlds first Jobs by Email message and launching the worlds first recruitment website.
Of course we do the one thing you would expect from the worlds leading Internet recruiter, we deliver a great source of candidates by:
Advertising your jobs on the JobServe web site
Emailing your jobs to suitable candidates.
Alerting candidates to your jobs by SMS text messaging or via an RSS feed.
Providing you with a searchable Resume database.
Raising your brand awareness.
But its the other things that we do, the additional value that we add, the extra mile that were prepared to go to provide an even better service. Things like:
Proof reading every job you advertise to ensure skills and locations are correctly classified.
Classifying every Resume that is added to the searchable database to improve the quality of your search results.
Alerting you when a suitable candidate registers their Resume.
Providing you with leading edge technology such as our search engine and RSS feeds that you can add to your own web sites.
What really keeps us on our toes is the fact that we dont tie our customers into long-term agreements. This means they can walk away at any time if we fail to deliver a constantly first class service.
JobServe was formed late in 1993 by myself, Robbie Cowling, an IT contractor with no previous experience of running a business and John Witney, another IT contractor who also had no previous experience of running a business.
So what gave us the idea of setting up JobServe in the first place? Well, at this time the IT recruitment market was just coming out of recession and John and myself, whilst both contracting at the same company, were discussing how difficult it was to locate jobs by reading out of date job adverts in recruitment magazines.
We were working on a contract where every one used email and thought how good it would be to receive a daily email of the latest jobs that matched a given criteria. No one was offering the service, the Internet was just starting to take off and we knew how desperately the service was needed.
That was all the encouragement we needed.
