Newcastle City Hall

Newcastle City Hall

Newcastle City Hall is one of the Hunter Regions largest and most prestigious venues.

With 7 function & conference rooms, from the intimate Waratah Room to the grand scale of the 820 seat Concert Hall, Newcastle City Hall offers a flexibility unrivalled by any other event venue in Newcastle.

Designed by famed 1920s theatre architect Henry Eli White, and an elaborate example of his famous Spanish Baroque style, Newcastle City Hall boasts architecture and ambience as dramatic as the performances that have graced the stages of this magnificent building for more than 80 years. Our professional onsite staff can help you to bring the theatre of these buildings to life; incorporating the right kind of drama into your event.

Located in the heart of the Cultural Precinct opposite Civic Park and adjacent to the Civic Theatre, Newcastle City Hall is within close proximity to public transport, accommodation, the CBD, Honeysuckle and parking.

Discovered in 1797 Newcastle is rich in history. A visit to Newcastle provides many opportunities to uncover our past. Newcastle embraces its maritime and industrial heritage and features a working harbour, a picturesque coastline and a blend of new and old architecture.
