Visiting The Neilson Nutshell and The Seed
Pier 2/3 is a heritage listed finger wharf in the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct. Steeped in Sydney's industrial history, Pier 2/3 is part of a landmark project by the NSW Government to rejuvenate Walsh Bay into a cultural and creative hub.
Bell Shakespeare's new premises perfectly combines the heritage features of Pier 2/3 with the contemporary needs of our artists and audiences. It features two expansive spaces to experience our work; our flagship performance space The Neilson Nutshell, and companion venue The Seed.
GETTING TO PIER 2/3
Pier 2/3 is located at Walsh Bay, 13A Hickson Road, Dawes Point, NSW 2000.
It is a brisk 15-20 minute walk from Circular Quay and Wynyard transport hubs. Hickson Road is serviced by the 324 and 325 bus service or the 311 to Millers Point. Pedestrian and cycle paths service Walsh Bay Arts Precinct from Barangaroo to Circular Quay. Metred parking is available on Hickson Road, Pottinger Street and Lower Fort Street and paid off-street parking can be found at 26 Hickson Road (Interpark) and at the corner of Towns Place and Hickson Road (Wilsons).
ARRIVING AT BELL SHAKESPEARE
The entrance to The Neilson Nutshell and The Seed is located midway down Pier 2/3. Follow the signage for Performance Spaces. The Neilson Nutshell and The Seed are located on Level 1 and are accessible by both stairs or lift.
