Taylor Square

Taylor Square is a public square located at the intersection of Bourke, Forbes, Oxford and Flinders Streets, Darlinghurst.

Taylor Square is one of the centers of Sydney's nightlife. There are many bars and nightclubs, as well as many restaurants and cafes. It is a relatively concentrated area of Sydney gays.

Taylor Square is named after a former prisoner, Robert Taylor, who after his release from prison in 1826 became a successful businessman and bought a number of properties, including the area around the square.
