Woodlands - Killara |
Woodlands (originally called Inglewood) is a heritage-listed residence in Killara.
It was designed by Henry Austin Wilshire, and built from 1884.
The property is privately owned.
It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 13 October 2006.
Best known as the birthplace of 'Seven Little Australians', home to Ethel Turner.
Woodlands circa 1884 in Killara, 11km north of Sydney. This heritage home was where Ethel Turner wrote her three famous books, Seven Little Australians (1894), The Family at Misrule (1895) and Story of a Baby (1895).
