The Recruitment and Consulting Services Association Ltd is the voice of the Australian & New Zealand recruitment and on-hire industry and is managed by an elected voluntary Board of Directors with an appointed Chief Executive Officer.

The Association is organised into Regions, with Councils and Secretariats and has a comprehensive Committee and Interest Group structure to facilitate the many activities of the Association.

The mission of, "representing and servicing the interests of its Members for the increased profile and professionalism of the industry,"is the foundation of all RCSA activity and is best reflected in the Associations flagship publication The Recruitment Journal.

RCSA promotes the interests (see Newsroom) of the industry through legal and legislative advocacy, public relations, education and the advancement of business (see Service Delivery Standards) and individual standards (see Nationally Accredited Training) and professionalism.

RCSA Corporate and Accredited Professional Recruiter are governed by a Code for Professional Practice supported by a Disciplinary & Dispute Resolution Procedure.

Corporate Members can also be accredited with an internationally recognised Service Delivery Standard while Individual Members can become accredited through the completion of a range of learning pathways.

The RCSA was formed in May 1997 after the merger of the Institute of Personnel Consultants Ltd (IPC) of Australia, the National Association of Personnel Consultants (NAPC) of Australia and the National Association of Personnel Consultancies Ltd (NAPC) of New Zealand and operates as a public company limited by guarantee to ensure the quality of on-hire, permanent and contract services and to promote flexible employment opportunities.

The RCSA now includes other discrete groups including the Australian Association of Medical Recruitment Agents (see AAMRA) and the Nursing Agencies Association of Australia (NAAA).

Members are now offered an extensive range of services including the core services of permanent, on-hire and contracting as well as out placement, training, HR consulting, assessment and a variety of employment related support services ,for example payroll support.

The RCSA Member companies (see Directory) operate more than 2334 offices across Australia and New Zealand and contributes over $12 billion to the Australia New Zealand economies collectively.

RCSA also has over 120 Affiliates who supply services to the industry as well as over 600 Individual Consultant Members and nearly Students progressing to industry accreditation.
